Looking back at your preliminary task ( the
continuity editing task) what do feel you have learnt in the progression from
it to a full product?
I feel that the
preliminary task really helped to expand my knowledge of not just software such
as Final Cut, but also help me to learn how to handle a camera properly to get
the best shot and things like making a group of shots flow well, and not ‘stutter’
together. It also helped me with things like continuity and stopped me from
making simple mistakes like leaving a tripod in front of the camera during a
take, or having someone who should not be in a shot appear in the corner of the
lens. Although the preliminary task and my final product are two completely
different pieces of film I do think that the skills I learnt with my group
whilst making the preliminary task have certainly reflected in my main product.
